in Nashville.
David's newest screenplay, "Ghetto Girls" co-written by Jonathan
Brown is under contact to be filmed soon, directed by Benny
Boom. David was hired to write the screenplay for "Ghetto Girls"
which is an adaptation of the novel written by Anthony J. Whyte.

“What
Are We Gonna Do About That” by David Worby and Jack Williams
has been recorded by Nashville recording artist Tommy Steele.
Steele opened shows for some of country music’s big names,
including Brooks and Dunn, LeAnn Rimes and Jimmy Wayne in 2008
and has even bigger touring plans for 2009 to support his
upcoming CD.
David was recently in Nashville writing with Kent Agee, Bobby
Carmichael, Amanda Martin and Mel Eubanks.

Happy 2009! We have lots of
exciting new projects and new songs lined up for 2009.
Meanwhile, here is a look back on some of the highlights of
2008.
Three cuts in 2008:
"I Never Let You Go" recorded by Dan Evans, a Universal
Release, in stores September 2008. Dan Evans who was
already popular as a performer with young audiences in the
Chicago area quickly became a household name amongst the 18
million viewers of NBC’s hit reality television show “The
Biggest Loser” where he lost 136 pounds. Dan will be performing
“I Never Let You Go” live in concert on his tour supporting the
new CD. He also has another television show in the works. David
loves Dan’s recording of his song “I Never Let You Go” and has
plans for co-writing with the artist in the upcoming months.

Little More Time" released in June 2008.

Other News in 2008:
RPM Music Group and David Worby Productions hosted a
songwriters retreat for some of Nashville’s and New York’s top
tunesmiths in Sag Harbor, NY. The writers stayed at the historic
American Hotel and enjoyed three days of writing in the hotel’s
Sleight House.

Here is a look
back at 2007.
● David has inked a deal with
Wrensong Publishing in Nashville to represent part of his
catalog.
● David returned to the
Bluebird Cafe in Nashville to perform several of his new songs
and old favorites on October 19th.
●
Hilary Kole
performed several of David’s songs in concert at the
famous
Birdland club in New York on October 24th and 25th.
● The American Cancer Society
presented David with the “American Cancer Society 2007
Leadership & Humanitarian Award” and hosted a special evening of
Jazz in his honor, for all of his outstanding work helping the
9/11 first responders.
● David was unanimously elected to the Board of Directors of
the National Symphony Orchestra.
● David Worby and David Allds
of Flatlanders Music Publishing Group of Nashville joined
publishing forces, for appearances on the main stage at the
Nashville Song Writers Festival held this June 13th –17th.

growing catalog of 33 songs (and counting).
● Jaid Barrymore has teamed up
with David to work on completing the script for his movie
project, 18 or 81, starring: Ice-T,
Snoop Dogg,
Aaron Carter,
Michael Winslow and
Li'l Romeo.
David is also working on the soundtrack for "18 or 81"
