So Long As I Keep Going

The first time I heard don’t tell anyone
I was just turning 5
Lost 40 parents before I was 21
I was way too young to hold those lies

Gray’s the only color I could see
Shame the only song I knew
As a kid I dropped their dreams in the candy machine
As a teen I thought they were watching me too

Oh who am I, is my fear showing?
Watched by detectors
Am I guilty for knowing
All my hopes protect me and my innocence
So long as I keep going

Years go by that harden but don’t heal me
I wouldn’t want it any other way
There might not be scars for anyone to see
But they made me who I am today

Oh who am I, is my fear showing?
Watched by detectors
Am I guilty for knowing
All my hopes protect me in my innocence
So long as I keep going

All your hopes and dreams held up in my little heart
But you’re the one who made it fall apart
(I’m falling apart)

All my hopes protect me and my innocence
So long as I keep going

Oh who am I, is my fear showing?
Watched by detectors
Am I guilty for knowing
All my hopes protect me in my innocence
So long as I keep going
So long as I keep going
So long as I keep going
